The idea for MudArmour™ was born on a Teal hunting trip in September of 2007. The Mud Brothers were hunting in a flooded field near Seymour, TX. Moving across this type of terrain is challenging; especially when you are wearing hip waders, loaded with gear, and carrying a shotgun.
A member of our group stumbled forward and jammed his shotgun barrel into the water and mud. When he pulled it out, a mud plug of 6 inches filled the barrel. This presented a major problem, as there was not a way to effectively clean the weapon in these conditions. The hunt was over before it ever started for that shotgun.
After the hunt, the Mud Brothers returned to the lodge and spent the remainder of the day brainstorming ideas to develop a practical solution to solve this problem, as well as other issues that hunters encounter in the field. We decided to form a company and design innovative products that protect the hunter, outdoor enthusiasts, and their equipment from the damaging effects of mud, dirt, water, and other harmful elements. Over 20 new products were conceptualized that day and now the MudArmour™ line of products begins with the Barrel Boot and Chamber Vest.
